The Legal Affairs Department of CSCEC Middle East Won Awards at Prestigious ‘Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2013’
China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Middle East) (L.LC) won two Awards which are the `Legal Department of the Year – Middle East’ and `Innovation of the Year – Middle East’ at the prestigious Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2013 Event held in The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina on the 16th of May 2013.
This Award was hosted by Corporate Counsel Middle East and Legal Week (organisers of The British Legal Awards). There were numerous legal departments and law firms applying for it, such as our partners: The global investment holding company `Dubai Holding’ and the famous Real Estate Company in Middle East – `Damac Properties’. However, only a few were nominated to attend the ceremony. The competitors for our categories were Dell (the major computer company), Herbert Smith Freehills (one of the largest UK law firm), Gulf Finance House Capital (very large investment company), QInvest (leading investment bank in Qatar) and Dubai Aviation City Corporation which is owned by the Government of Dubai and part of Dubai World Central.
After the Awards ceremony, a large number of personnel in the legal profession from 25 law firms and corporate legal departments who attended this ceremony extended their congratulations to CSCEC. The award-winning results will be published on websites and also in local newspapers and magazines. This will not only increase our Company’s reputation in the Middle East, but also fully reflect the outstanding work and notable performance of our Company’s Legal Affairs Department when compared to other international companies. These two awards will also encourage and motivate all staff to make more contributions to our Company.
