The Successful Handover of Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital Project

 

Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital Project, contracted by Joint Venture (China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East LLC and MCM), successfully passed the joint acceptance conducted by the Federal Ministry of Public Works (MOPW) and the Ministry of Health with the total acceptance rate of 95, an extremely higher score than the normal passing rate, and the completed project was also highly appraised by the MOPW inspectors. The successful completion stands as a symbol of great breakthrough for the CSCEC Middle East in contracting projects in the health sector in the UAE.

Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital, locating in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, is a hospital mainly specialized in cancer diagnosis and treatment. The total area consists of four major parts: the main building of 62,246 square meters; service block of 5,902 square meters; the fence wall, roads and plantations of 200,000 square meters. After the completion, the hospital will provide 248 patient sickbeds including 7 VIP rooms with the most advanced medical equipment, high standard decoration, sufficient plantations and parking lots. Besides, two helipads are also available for emergencies and VIPs.

Sheikh Khalifa Specialist Hospital Project was completed within the contractual schedule. No contractual dispute occurred during the whole execution of the works, which has gained deep trust from our Client MOPW. To be specifically mentioned is that during the construction period, the project was reported and highly appraised by the local mainstream media Al Ittihad Newspaper; meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has visited the site with high recognition. Thereafter, CSCEC were consecutively granted with three more MOPW-invested projects in the UAE.
